 Lots of hot spots in the world, and one just got lit up. Seems Pakistan has some trouble makers there, so India just fired some rockets into that country, and said, they just targeted the terrorist area's. Both country's have nuke's, so we'll see how this turns out.

I spent my time in Vietnam and saw our boys go through a lot of atrocities and heartache. Seen many wounded and some who never made it back. All the time I feel we didn't accomplish a damn thing. Keep the U.S. out of it and let them kill each other.

you just stated the truth. this could easily elevate to the point one side or both use nukes. in that case its certainly our business and the business of every place on earth. trump hasnt threatened to send troops but sure as crap is involved in trying to stop it and it would be insanity not to do EVERYTHING he can to do so!

Nor do I. I'm 75 years old and we've had some kind of shooting war going on my entire life. All of which, we lost with thousands of our young men killed or maimed. When will we learn to stay out of other countries business? Politicians don't fight wars. They start'em.
We now allegedly have a mineral deal with one of the most corrupt mini countries in the world (Ukraine). What happens when Putin attacks the area where we have our agreement?
We have troops and bases all over Europe, to protect Europe.
I'm all in protecting our borders, and our country, but im not gonna worry about these endless conflicts all over the world. We need  to back off, and let'em settle their own affairs.

For the record.....I side with you......the U.S. should in no way intervene with the exception of attempting to be a mediator to prevent cataclysmic escalation.  And even then, it should be as a member of a consortium of concerned nations.  (No, not the useless U.N.)

Now, the way I interpreted what we get off the  news sources here, the initial instance wasn't so much of an "attack", as some sort of disagreement in a given area.  But then, that info is tainted by our "news" sources.

Either way, it shows lack of restraint by the "leaders" of two countries that have hated each other for generations, and shouldn't have EVER gotten access to nuclear weapons.

Let's all hope that somewhere over there, cooler heads prevail before they contaminate the entire globe.

They have been fighting since before rocks were invented. Some years back they went at it in full blown war I believe and didn't use nukes. I doubt either country keeps their nukes maintained and they might not even be use able. They just have them to keep the other party from attacking with too much intensity.

but what happens when fallout hits russia? china? or one of our allys or even us. were not talking little Hiroshima sized nukes. also i dont know about pakistan but india isnt some third world country with armys armed with clubs and have the money and technology to maintain there nukes

What would happen if the volcanic cap underneath Yellowstone blew? It likely would usher in a worldwide winter that would last more than a decade. Who knows what a polar shift might cause.

To date, the United States is the only country to ever deploy nuclear weapons. TWICE!

Most Americans believe it was necessary, damn be the consequences of the fallout that affected millions. This is a dangerous world we live in, and always has been. India, and Pakistan, are indeed armed with nuclear weapons. As are we, and Russia, and China, and Israel,  and so on.

If India and Pakistan pull the trigger, or the super volcano blows at Yellowstone, all anybody can do is watch.
Should the United States try to talk both sides down? Sure. But in the end, it's their war, and their call.
I'll choose not to fret. What ever happens, I will not be consulted. Before, or after.

For India and Pakistan to engage in a nuclear exchange would ensure mutual total destruction. I suspect that has occurred to both sides.
