To many variables with the .22. Mostly in the ammo used. Subsonic rounds that are maybe 800 fps that might not penetrate a heavy jacket with a leather vest under it. To 1300-1400 fps  ammo that if within 30 yds or so, a poacher could head shoot a deer and kill it. Didn't watch the whole video. Lost me when he started saying how a .22 lr almost took out the president. If he's referring to the attempt on Trump in Butler, shooter used an AR-15 in .5.56/.223. Not much of a gun guy, or reporter. Probably be invited on The View to inform the ''ladies'' all about firearms and safety.

Thanks for your feedback..but you did quit too early with the video.  To be fair, I almost did also..  However, the narrator was not speaking about Trump !

Nope; he was talking about Pres Reagan..  The chest shot that almost killed R Reagan, was a real cheap, European imported revolver..in .22 LR..

..And sadly, he wounded James Brady bad enough, that he nearly killed him ! Messed him up for the rest of his life.

Were you surprised with the native Canadian woman who shot a huge grizzly with a 22 long..not even long rifle..?  I have read her account elsewhere..she used a single shot Cooey rifle..now the maker for Savage RF rifles...

Is that the Indian that held the world record for a while? I’ll never forget that tight group in the bears skull.

Visits to the ER was part of my past profession when a shooting victim showed up I was called. My information came directly from the attending physician concerning the shooting victim.
The 22lr had enough power to punch through the rib cage but, seldom enough to exit. Result? It would run around in there causing more tissue damage.
Same with head shots.

found about the same with 25acps. some internet experts would have you believe that they almost bounce off of a t-shirt, was playing with a tip barrel tiny beretta 25 one day at the range and gold dots were punching right through 3/8s treated plywood. id bet thats much harder to put a hole through than a winter jacket and a flannel shirt!! i wouldnt stand in front of one and let someone shoot at me with a 25 or even a subsonic 22 with 3 jackets on!! what we found penetration testing 22s one day was that subsonic penetrate as wll as high velocity 22s but with a smaller wound channel and both out penetrated the high dollar expanders like vipers ect. just like in the cast bullet world heavy and slow will always do better penetrating than fast and light
