Why there is nothing supreme about this court
« on: Yesterday at 05:38:25 PM »
If they were in fact a supreme court, wouldn’t they all agree? I mean since they are deciding on the letter and understanding of law if they were supreme or experts as the term is implied they would all agree. Therefore they are actually the un supreme court.

Much has changed since 1789. It used to be the rule of law, now it's the slickest lawyer, and whether they're a Democrat, or a Republican.

100% spot on! The legal system has been broke for quite sometime. Politics and money have taken over. Not sure we'll see a change in our lifetime.

If they all agreed we wouldn't need nine of them, just one.  If the law were that precise, we wouldn't need appellate or supreme courts, just one judge at trial.  It's an imperfect system, but still the best one in the world.  Hell, most of us are fairly like minded fellows and look at how much we disagree with each other.

So very true.

We have tried that before, and some didn't like it...particularly the accused !    https://www.nps.gov/fosm/learn/historyculture/judge-parker.htm

The un supreme court judges by their own rule of law, not written law IMO. How else could they be so divided? I’d say it’s political judgement.
