is this normal or have i lived in sticksville to long
« on: January 29, 2025, 08:43:39 AM »
just had a grandson born to my stepson in california. just got off the phone with him and he said they were ready to bring him home and they were just waiting for a nurse to disable and remove the tracking device they use in CASE THE BABY IS STOLE. Ive never heard of this and dont recall hearing of babies stolen out of hospitals on any network. Is this just a CA thing??

I have read/heard  of , more likely, babies being mixed up (when a hospital has many births) , so this is probably for that but they use the "stolen" excuse.
Although I did read, some years ago, of a stolen baby.

I have never heard of anything like that in hospitals around here. I'm guessing it is a CA thing. Probably happening in other socialist states also.

Needing a tracking device sounds like incompetence of the hospital staff. But  it’s CA, so could be they’re really over complicating matters…you know, just because.

Many, many unfortunate "mix ups" AND stolen babies from hospitals.  Good idea to secure the baby at birth, with tracking, than to take a "lizard" home that is not yours.

Do a search on “infant abduction electronics” and you’ll find a ton of systems being offered.

I guess it's everywhere.
My newest young relative born 7
months ago had a tracking bracelet.
Other people I've known that worked
at nursing homes and senior care
said that most residents had a tracking
bracelet for security. If they crossed a
boundary line of sensors, several alarms
would sound in the offices and the
nurses stations. I was told that after there
was a elderly lady resident who was
an alzheimers patient and kept removing
her bracelet. The last time she removed
everything, clothes and all in case there
was something in her clothes. They found
her in the far corner of the property wandering
nekkid looking for a gate to get through
the fence. This was 20 years plus ago.

I can only guess that the influx of border jumpers
getting free maternity care and skipping out
have necessitated some kind of security measures.
There's probably been some instance of some
of them snagging up a baby and getting gone
ASAP
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
