Looks like Rick Roberts left or got
put out  :o
If they cut him, that was an extremely
stupid bud lite move and they'll be
losing listeners

Part of WBAP's search for a replacement
host for the time slot-
" You must have a history of ratings success
in a major to large market.
WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANOTHER
POLITICAL TALK SHOW.  . ."

That pretty much tells it
Rick Roberts stepped on too many
dainty pink painted toes

Bad bad move on their part

WBAP used to be about country music. When I was working all night I'd listen to Bill Mack "the midnight cowboy" night and then he'd sign off in the morning with Connie Smith singing "Clinging to a Saving Hand" a song he wrote for her to sing.
My how things have  changed.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been any
real country music played on regular
radio in years,  not since they started
the barf brooks torn britches earrings
type "music "

It would really be interesting to know why WBAP and Rick Roberts parted ways. Did a lot of searching on the web and haven't come up with even a hint of why.

This must be some kind of national security
matter or something, because any information
is very scarce.
Lots of inquiries, but no answers either brief
or detailed.   Nothing
