The biggest problem with chili powder
today is that many stores sell " chili
powder blend " that has a goodly amount
of salt and sugar and other things
besides powdered dried chilis.
I figured that a good while back.
Check the label before you buy.
One of the only bright spots to
this morphing into the border jumper
barrio is the wide availability of
inexpensive mex foods and spices.
Several of the stores have different
aisles for particular nationalities
of foods, such as a "columbian "
aisle,  and a "costa rica" aisle, etc.
Curiouser and curiouser every day

I'll just have to make it a
point to see if that fly by
night dollar store is still
there and if they have the
complete seasoning I've
bought in the past .
My intention buying the
large container was splitting
it up and sharing some with
friends and family like I have
the black pepper I buy in a
large container.
It's also a semi ordeal at the
dollar place because the cheap
border jumper employees just
pile everything on the shelf sans
organization of any kind. You
have to paw through
everything to hopefully find one of the exact
thing you want
