You can call H&R Customer Service at (978) 630-8220.

I am sure if they have them they will sell them

I spoke with H&R about this a few weeks ago and they still have comp barrels in 270 and 30-06.  I myself have recently purchased a 270 comp I found at a small gun store and was not able to find another anywhere.  I   can not believe the accuracy I am getting even out to 300 yrds with factory remington 130 core lokts.  Nice not having all the kick as well.  This rifle is quickly becoming my favorite.

I have never shot a comp barrel but aren't they exceedingly loud?  I am only going off of what I have read in the past.  Is the reduction in recoil worth the noise?

I have a .270 ultra comp, the recoil in mild and the noise level is not that bad un less you are the person standing a few yards away from the shooter, I did some research on the web and it recoils like a 22-250, the 30-06 ultra comp is like a .243, have not had a chance to shoot it fo accracy yet but I know it will be a tack driver after reading all the posts about it, I had a Rossi that was woud not shoot a 5" group at 100 yds, I had a Mossberg ATR in .270 that was a tack driver at 300yds, I reload for all my rifles and handguns but as soon as the hot weather lets up I am going to see what my ultra comp will do, DON A.
