Heres a different topic.  What non-1911 .45's do you folks like.  Don't get me wrong, I love my 1911, but I'm also EXTREMELY fond of my Sig P245.

I'm basically a .45 freak and am wondering what folks out there are having fun with.

I have a fondness for my S&W 625.  Every time I break it out and take it to the range I wonder why I don't do it more often.  Big, heavy, fun gun!

Love the old 1917 Smith.  Big gun, easy to shoot, lots of fun.  Gonna go Cowboy with an 1873 repo and do the same thing.  Love my Springfield but there is just something about the bog bore revolvers.  Mikey.

S&W 625s are great.  Mine is a gem.  The Ruger P-90 and P-97 are good, too (I prefer the P-90 of the two).  I'd really like to try a steel framed Witness in .45 ACP, but that's way down the list.  The Ruger convertible Blackawks in .45LC/.45ACP are good, too, IMHO.

Never shot a Sig .45 Auto, but if they made a Sig Pro in .45 ACP, I'd be all over that.

I use a Sig 220.  While I like the classic style of the 1911, they just don't fit me right.  The 220 does.

Hi All,

I don't know if you consider the Springfield SASS or the Pachmeyer Dominator non 1911s or not, but I have both.  I haven't gotten them fitted to a 1911 frame yet, but I'm working on it.  Also, I have a LAR Grizzly 45 Win Mag with conversions kits for 10mm, 357 Mag, 45 A.C.P. and 357/45 GWM.  I love 'em all.  The grizzly is very accurate and fun to shoot if you like big bangs.

I absolutely LOVE my 625-6 Mountain gun, my 1917, and my 'shooter' Remington Rand.  They rank right up there with my Kimber Custom Combat!!!! A guy can't have too many .45's!
The first shot is the best shot, it may be your only shot!  Do it with a single-shot.

My Ballester Molina works and shoots just great and I put a Tasco optima sight on it and I love it. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Just picked up a  FaireStar M-45. What a well built and SWEETR shooting little gun. Fed  and functioned everythignbt from ball to mouse fart 185 gr SWC loads on it's first outing. Accuracy and felt recoil were also a pleasent surprise.
