It’s About Time…
« on: January 03, 2023, 10:46:42 AM »
The Covid bug finally caught me. Went on a cruise with family for Christmas, woke up the morning we were leaving, had an awful headache. Only real symptom since has been body aches and some chills early on. My wife has been with me the whole time and hasn’t gotten it. Go figure…

My grandson got it bad, but his wife didn't.

Sorry to hear of that

This was diagnosed as the result
of testing, or did they just spit
out the diagnosis and declare it
covid ?
When I was pretty sick earlier last
year, they kept saying covid  covid
covid despite the negative tests.
It was as if they were anxious for
me to be covid positive.
A dozen or so of the tests later,
I still don't have any signs of covid
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I will say this…I had the flu back in September, and between the two, I’ll take Covid any day. The flu absolutely kicked my butt!

This was from a home test my wife picked up. I’ll have my annual physical next month and get checked to see if I have the antibodies.

It’d been many, many years since I’d had the flu, totally forgot how bad it can be.

Despite what the medical people
say , the flu shot I had years ago
made me deathly ill.
That was back when the management
at work used to pay for everything
including medical care for the
employee. We all got free shots from
the company doctor's staff, and
IIRC like 3 of us got bad sick from
our shots. Everybody swears that
can't happen, but it did to me and
some others at exactly the same time
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Back before they knew anything about covid ,i got really sick. I got over it and never caught covid once they did know what it was. I never took any of the jabs. Lubbock UMC ,told me i already had the antibody’s and don’t take the vax.
Wife went through the same thing, and i took care of her here at the house. She liked my chicken noddle soup.

You know, I couldn't taste or smell when tested yesterday I have RSV no COVID. My wife was tested Saturday and no COVID, but she has pneumonia. Fortunately even though we live 17 miles from town and 45 from Kaiser, where our health care is, our kids have been willing to come and take us to the hospital. Ain't being a senior citizen wonderful?

The wife and I have had covid twice now. November 2021 and July 2022. First time around was fairly rough but we got the regeneron treatment that helped considerably. Second time around wasn't near as bad and handled it with over the counter meds.

Medical leeches can get more govt. dollars if they are treating the Virus.

RSV is pretty prevalent in a lot of areas right now. Thought that was what I had. I’m dealing with Covid pretty well, just pop a 800 mg Ibuprofen in the morning and get things done. Still feel energetic.
