Shopping for a Steinberger GT Pro delux

Think I'll treat myself to a new guitar.
A lightweight electric would be nice.
Anybody have a favorite online store for bargains?

https://harleybenton.com/

You cannot beat their quality, play ability and price. Order from Thoman in Germany. Here is one I have.https://harleybenton.com/product/te-70-rw/  They also have Strat, and LP style guitars. Check out some of their reviews.
the right/left yardstick is a French Revolution-born human measure. It reflects the political spectrum, which is determined by the people’s range of beliefs. Christians, however (and everyone, in fact), should make Truth their yardstick. This inerrant guide doesn’t compromise and build consensus, either; it’s not a politician. It dictates where reality lies. And in a civilization claiming 2+2=5, it’s with the “extremist” who insists it’s 4. For God’s realism so often is man’s radicalism.

OOPS! You said lightweight. The RW Tele is not light, but they do have lightweight models.

How does the sound of yours compare to a Fender Telecaster, and how much does it cost?

I think I paid around 200.00 Shipped. Could have been a little more. The shipping then was 35.00 from Germany. There are several HB vs Fender videos on youtube, and Sound wise, hard to tell the difference. The necks feel a little different, but not a bad feel. The fret board is a little flatter than the Fender Telecaster.  I really don't know how they can afford to sell these guitars this cheap, but they do lol!

Another good choice for fender style Telecasters and Stratocasters, is Monoprice. I've bought several for modding and have given some to relatives who want to learn to play. They are damn good for the money.

I need the locking tremolo bridge and pickup setup that Steinberger has.

NWH....
Your instrument from Germany...did you have to pay customs tax on it?
.

Are they humbuckers or single coil?   Floyd Rose Bridge? Harley Benton Fusions line might be more to your liking? They pretty much copy all popular style guitars made.

If you have one of those in mind, then why look any further? Most other brands will not be headless, with locked bridges.

You need to pick it out in person. Five guitars of the same make, model, built back to back can play and feel different. Compare tones, fret quality finishes. There can be huge differences, shouldn’t be, but there are.
