Have to make a trip to Home DEpot
« on: June 02, 2022, 02:09:14 AM »
We had stormy weather yesterday afternoon. My part was a very stiff northeast wind bringing some more Texas dirt and breaking my north storm door. It blew the bottom sliding window in at the top and it isn't fixable. I got it southern engineered closed for now and Home Depot shows to have a replacement in stock. I can't really complain as the door is north of fifteen years old and has been opened and closed about a jillion times during those years. It's made by Anderson and another Anderson is going to replace it.

I'm not looking forward to the job and am going to have to lean on a grandson for help. I can barely get around right now and my son that I would normally call on for help is recovering from failed rotator cuff surgery last week and basically has only one arm that works right now so he is out of the picture. He is looking at a shoulder replacement in July and I am waiting on an appointment with the pain management doctor for a nerve ablasion in my back with no scheduled appointment yet. I never though I would see the day when I would need help with something as easy as changing out a storm door.

Well, you wore out cars, and pickups, carpet, tools, tires, and a myriad of other stuff. Your way older than me, probably not as purty either, so it was just a matter of time before you wore you out.

If nobody will help you let me know and I'll drive over there and help ya.
You may all go to hell, I will go to Texas. Davy Crockett

Thanks for the offer but I would be obligated to feed you and you would probably eat more than I could afford after paying for the new door.  Being purttier than me ain't saying much for your looks either.  ;D
