Showing a little of my inter artist

I would have posted this in the leatherworking forum but it's been so long since anyone visited it's probably rusted up so I put it here. I finally finished the birthday belt for the 14 year old and was only 5 days late doing it. I am considering hanging up my leatherworking tools after this one. I had a lot of trouble as my hands don't work as smoothly as they used to. I will probably make one more before I pull the plug just to see if it was more the leather or me.

 That looks pretty nice to me. Do you wear one of the berets with a bigfuzzy ball on it when you're being autistic? ;D

Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty sure I got a piece of old leather is the reason I'm going to try another time. I'm no longer at the top of my game but I don't think I'm as far gone as this project indicated. Nothing, and I mean nothing, worked like it was supposed to. I had considered just throwing it in the trash before applying the antiquing. That stuff hides a lot of faults.

  Nice work O&S !   Looks like you know your craft !

   ..And those berets with a fuzzy ball or tassel on top.  Scots wear the tassel..on their beret..or a more voluminous version for outdoors..a tam !  The ones with red chex on the band are called a Balmoral.

   ...And on some folks they actually look pretty good in a tam !  ;)  ;D
