My string finally ran out.
« on: April 08, 2022, 06:02:50 AM »
From early 2019 until yesterday I had no bugs at all. No covid, flu, cold, etc. Even with five great grand kids of assorted ages and all the things they bring around I missed them all. Three weeks ago our grand daughter was here with a cough. My wife caught what she had and got really sick. Yesterday afternoon I came down with it. At least I am not as bad off as my wife was.

Unfortunately you can only dodge illness for so long. Good excuse to get the wife to make some chicken soup.

Hopefully, everything will be better soon.
I had a bug a while back that the doctor's
office was saying COVID COVID COVID! !
but I was negative on the test and they
were seemingly disappointed that the test
was negative. " it's got to be covid " they
were saying.  Well I've taken another test
since then and it was also negative.
I think getting everybody sick is the
ultimate goal
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Wife made me visit the doctor this morning. Bacterial not viral infection for both of us. I'm on medication now and if it works as quickly as it did for her I'll be somewhat better in the morning.

I experienced the Covid back in early February, and I haven't had a really good cup of coffee since.

I love cheese, especially Cheddar...and cheese is not near so tasty as it was..

  Just warning ahead...

Not covid. Although not exactly a ball of fire yet I do feel better today. I'm working on coffee right now and it tastes as good as it always has.

I know a few people that complain about the taste of certain foods now after covid. Especially dairy products. All those that I know that complain of this taste have had covid plus the jab.  I have had covid twice and no jab, but everything tastes the same to me as it always has.  I don't know anyone personally that has had covid, and no jab that says certain foods taste funny.  There may be people that have not had the jab and say foods taste different. I'm just saying I don't know anyone personally, where that is true.

I havent beens sick in so long i couldnt tell you when. I often wonder if having so many surgerys to recover from didnt strengthen my immune system. My wife will get sick at least once a year most times more but i just dont catch them. Ill probably get hammered for this but i have gotten flu shots for the last 30 years or so. But then so does my wife.

The wife and I had covid back in early November 2021. Without long term clinicals for the vaccines we decided to take our chances and not get vaccinated and instead rely on over the counter meds and the monoclonal antibody treatment if we came down sick with covid.

We didn't lose our sense of taste but it was distorted and everything tasted strange. For me it was eggs no matter how they were fixed, turned my stomach just smelling them whether they were boiled, scrambled or fried. Another one was tamales, I fixed us up some for supper and they tasted foul, it took until a month back to actually enjoy them again.

From talking to different people that have had covid it is amazing how different their experiences have been with it.
