Br Rabbit and tar baby and the rest of the characters are now considered racist. This is because Uncle Remus was a slave, and the owner of him got him to tell the stories and she wrote them down and put them in a book. Even though it doesn't matter the origin of the stories, they are great stories for kids. Disney no longer sells copies of Song of the South movie which has both human and cartoon characters. I have a copy on DVD. It was a classic and the guy who played Uncle Remus won an academy award back in the 1940's when it was made. Cancel culture is sad, you never learn both the good and bad from the past.
Anyway, I understand what you are saying, but some younger people here probably have never heard of Uncle Remus and his Br. Rabbit, Br. Fox, and Br. bear stories.
