Grandpa from the Real McCoys

I probably heard that song as back then Ma played a radio station every day that would carry such music, as would alot of radio stations,  but it does not ring a bell.

That style of performance is similar to the talking blues….although way less bluesy. Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant is inthe same vein. Johnny Cash did a number of talkers very successfully (a Boy named Sue,,for ex,)
Walter Brennan……ever been bit by a dead bee.

Ole Walter Brennan in his "Real  McCoys" outfit.

Another song he did was "That Mule Old Rivers, And Me"
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.
