Is it just me or do you have the same problem?

I used to really love to watch shows that NGO produced especially Life below zero, an the history channel  but now they have started adding all this very horrible background music and is so loud that you cannot hear the people talking. If you have not noticed just mute the sound for a minute and see how quite your house is. I can no longer watch any of them because of the background I will call it noise because it is not music.

I have noticed the same thing on lots of shows. Don't get me started on commercials either. Commercials get the mute button as soon as they start. What marketing moron decided it was a good idea to have the same annoying repetitive music during the entire commercial? Commercials like that make me less inclined to buy their product.

I'm so glad to know it's not just me. I cancelled my tv subscription because IMO there wasn't anything worth watching.

I don’t watch the devils box... When in a hotel I do and can’t find much worth watching besides the weather channel and sometimes outdoors channels.

We keep our TV mostly on SBN. Good Christian music and preaching and teaching.

My problem with TV shows is vulgar language, and a "courtesy queer" in almost every show.
It is immoral indoctrination, and its working. You hear it, and see it in restaurants, and stores.

Used to be all the gays and homos
stayed on the other side of town.
Somehow this side gradually became
the bull dyke/ lez side of town.
I was talking about it with my sister,
and she never heard of it, but she's an hour
in the opposite direction.
I was semi joking that I should open a
store with a non descript name, and
sell plaid lumberjack shirts and carpenter

Back a number of years when VCR recorder were just starting to come on the market I bought one to record Last of the summer wine which was being run on our local PBS station. That is all that I have to watch now as there is nothing to watch. NGO has gone to the dogs with the loud background noise. I just do not understand what their motive is unless it has some type of a subliminal message in it. Years back some large chain stores that had music piped in tried the subliminal message and to some extent it worked.

  We se some dude lost inthe desert, another climbing to the top of the Zugspitz, and yet another marooned by himself on a small island in British Columbia...and I ask myself.."Where in tarnation is the orchestra hiding?"

  Shouldn't about the only sounds we hear..be the winds ever shifting and sifting the sands..  Or a few pebbles displaced from the mountainside..or possibly whispering pines, occasionally accompanied by the splash of a salmon in a small eddy?
