What happens then?
« on: October 19, 2021, 12:14:17 AM »
...

Lake Mead (Boulder Dam) is drying up!  Among others, Lake Mead serves Vegas with 90% of it's water and much of the water for Los Angeles comes from there too.  Short 2+ minute video..
  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJq-fz1B1As

Lake Powell, upstream from Lake Mead.. is down by 51%..  Of course, the OBidens will use it for a "Climate change" gambit..but truth is the west is in the grip of a 21 year drouth...doesn't mean the world is, since we have seen unusual floods in different parts of the world, including the US !

But what happens when the water runs out and the electric with it ?  Can't say they weren't warned.  When the dams were proposed/completed,  the output was projected..and possible drouth years should have been considered.  ..But no, they kept on building, seemingly without concern.

  So, what happens then?

Well.  . . It is a desert region

For whatever reason, folks don't
seem to get it about the 45 minute
showers and running the guts out
of the sprinkler system
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

LOL, common sense is so disruptive to the conversation.

Just have to learn to live like the old timers did. Sleep on the roof or sidewalk in the summer, drink whiskey not water, and wear wool long handles year round. P.S. smell kind of strong too.

The problem is Californians didn't and probably still don't want any of those nasty old electric generating plants in their state. Too bad, so sad for them that it is going to bit them in the butt now. In comparison Elephant Butte Lake in NM, completed in 1916 for irrigation and electric generation, is at 5.1 % of capacity as of the eighteenth of this month. The generating plant is tiny by today's standards and won't cause a problem but it is making life difficult for the farmers downstream and Texas is always raising hell about water they think they are entitled to when there is no water available.  The entire southwest has been in severe drouth for ages it seems. It started here back in the mid '90's which makes it around 25 years for us. Just like the fact that you can't get blood out of a turnip, you can't get water from a dry river.
