Now, Biden BEGS the Taliban to spare our embassy..

Experienced military told Biden that now, during the summer fighting season, was the wrong time to leave.

If we had waited until winter, when all had gone back to their hovels in the hills, we could hav ehad a more orderly withdrawal, without leaving personnel and billions in equipment behind.

It looks like congress members such as Talib, AOC and Ilhan Omar, have had their wishes fulfilled.

Exactly. We spend tremendous amounts of money and a lot of lives, along with making cripples from many and fight a limited war that can't be won that way, then get tired of it and cut and run. Anyone with two working brain cells knew what the Taliban was going to do when we left.

Regardless of the governing powers, the misery always comes down on the individual soldier or Marine..

This not the end, this is the beginning of another threat that will blossom.
It MAY force China and Russia to deal with it as this is just a new version of ISIS.

to show the fleeing people and troops
and the vestiges of the Great Satan
being destroyed ( just guessing as to
what is the great black clouds of smoke are)
Reminds me of when the US had to una$$
Saigon in the 70's

They showed a large group of women and
girls sobbing and crying because they know
what's in store for them when the caliphate
assumes complete control

They're also talking about how the
indigenous assets and the civilian
contractors have been essentially
abandoned

Oh well. . . That's what happens

SUBMARINES" headed in that
general direction
Aren't all current US submarines
nuclear reactor powered?

Correct ALL our subs are nuclear now. Unlike the first one (to my knowledge), the Hunley which was hand crank powered!!!!!!

There are several thousand American civilian contractors there also . Cut off from the airport by Taliban check points .

anything on the subject today, but
then I haven't been in a position to
sit down and look for anything.
I imagine there won't be a lot of
" in depth " reports for now that would
put the gubmint in a bad light

Hate to break it to ya but the Taliban have been in charge of the country for over 30 years. We didn't change that during our stay there, we merely kept them out of where we had troops massed, at least for the most part.

We kept a cancer in remission for 20 years, the treatment was costly, but it was never a cure. If only we had that much resolve to heal our own country.
