What is the plan for the 12" T/C bbls? Will they be legal in production?

NRA has allready made the 12" barrels legal. I think in time IHMSA will follow.

I am not exactly sure what the NRA has approved.  ie, is the 12" T/C barrel legal in Hunter Pistol AND Long Range or just HP?

In conversations I have had with individual members of the IHMSA board (of which I am not a member), I do not find any willingness to adopt a 12" barrel length in Big Bore Production or Field Pistol.

Today I received a copy of a e-mail from the NRA silhouette committee secretary Greg Connor showing the rule changes for Hunter Pistol and Production classes, weight up to 5 pounds and barrel length to 12". I think with the loss of shooters in both NRA and IHMSA that IHMSA should look seriously at changing the rules to except the 12" barrels. The 2" increase won't effect scores but will make it a lot easier for new shooters to get barrels.
