Border problem? Harris says, "let's plant trees!"

  Yrs we have a big border problem right now..so dipsy-doodle Harris thinks planting trees will take care of the border problem.....

     According to forestry people, from seedling to harvest..is a 40 year turnaround.  That sure will help next week !

   Then I saw this line in the above article;

  "The program has already planted 700,000 trees in Mexico, where it pays 450,000 Mexican farmers a stipend of about $225 per month to tend the sapling"

  Now, just a bit of simple math tells me that we are paying 450,000 Mexican farmers, about $2700 per year to care for 1.5 saplings.  That is just about $ 108,000 to care for those 1 & 1/2 trees until they are harvested.

  Might we wonder if the return will be worthwhile?

I don't think the people in those areas are the
ones trying to get in illegally.
Just need to harden the border as if everyone
slipping across had a small tactical nuke they
were trying to bring into the country

    I can see it now..475,000 "farmers" charged with laboring to care for 1.5 saplings @ $2700 per year , which must be a fortune where the planting is to take place.
   So the cartels move in and "convince" these local "farmers" that the cartels will take care of the trees, and the farmer can still collect ..maybe $350 per year.  ...And the 'tree farms' will still be scraggly wasteland, 40 years later.

  Observing the deals allegedly having been arranged with the CCP and the Ukraine mob... I wonder how much of that money will ever find it's way to the tree farms...
