I've been reading with interest all the posts regarding the use of Hevi-Shot through our TC turkey barrels with the provided choke. I shot my Encore barrel yesterday with Federal and Winchester turkey loads and was less than impressed with the results. Before trying Remington's Hevi-Shot, I decided to see what TC had to say about it. I called their customer service this morning. They said it is perfectly fine and safe to use the Hevi-shot with their turkey choke tube and barrel set up.
Could anyone who's tried the Heavy-Shot tell us which size shot patterened well through their barrel? The stuff's pretty pricey to buy several boxes of different shot size just to check patterns.
Any help on a starting point (shot size) would be appreciated.
