Love my 93 custom built Mouser 7x57
« on: March 05, 2021, 11:36:37 AM »
I was over on Sportsman's Legacy web sight and seeing what custom built mousers are going for makes me really love my 93 custom built 7x57 even more. Of course mine was not owned By Jack O'Conner's but it was built by a master gun smith and it shoots great, looks great and that is good enough for me. ;)

Sounds like a nice rifle, my father in law had a Remington Classic chambered in 7x57 and it was a really nice gun and accurate. Always wanted a 257 Roberts based on the 7x57 but never got one.

The 2008 Gun Digest had a long article on the Remington Classic and they list the 257 Roberts as a run for 1982  and for 1981 it was the 7 mm Mauser. I have a 257 Roberts custom shop barrel for my Thompson Center TCR83/87 single shot  Rifle and it shoots great.

one of my favorite factory rifles. I have a 6mm, 8x57 and a 300 H&H. Id sure like to find a 257 roberts too. Add to that a 280, 264 mag, 2506 and an 8mag. Anyone have one in those calibers and would prefer a like new 8x57 shoot me a pm. Ive got brass, ammo and bullets to throw in.  Only factory gun i like better is the win 70 featherweight.
