Almost Done Packing! Whew!

Supposed to close Thursday, and should get our money for the house. Hoping for no snafus. We're ready to get outta here.

Glad to hear it. Selling / moving is stressful. Hope you find a good spot out in the boondocks with good neighbors.

Thanks. Dallas is moving in on us here. We went back up for Christmas, and it was nice not having a rush hour, or construction zones.

I wish I had one more move left in me.  Property values in this area are soaring and I'd love to return to eastern Idaho.  I spent a year there in my youth and I'd love to go back.

I'd advise it.
If you can see in your neighbor's

that living space is too small.
I have to have some place big

When I bought the outpost, I thought
it was remote enough and big enough
that I could retire when that came
along and live my days in peace and
quiet.  Now there's new houses and
traffic and young not-quite-punks
that are closer than I care for them
to be. At least a majority of the adjacent
people are ex law enforcement and
mostly MTOB and LMMM

Yeah, for sure. They'll be a few squirrels for sure,  but it is a ranching, oil production area with emphasis on ranching.

Well, the movers loaded up our stuff yesterday evenin, the couples' bank will transfer the money into our account this mornin, and we're headed north west about 400 miles at about 9am.

Stopped by the cemetery last evening, I don't know why. My whole family except my kids and me are there.  I'm the last one, of that generation. Grandpa, grandma, mom and dad, uncles. Their all right there in one plot. I guess when I go back there it'll be to stay.

In the meantime, good Lord willing, I'm gonna get to know my grandkids, and great grandkids in Amarillo, and hang out with Lindas' whole family.
Man I can't wait to get back up to "sane country". Boots, hats, pickups,  and good solid standup folks.

I sold my boat 2 wks ago. I'll be about 4 miles from Lake Meredith. We got out here about 5m today. Spent our anniversary on the road.
