Are democrats racists, agists, sexists, etc.?

A nagging thought has been going through my mind of late.  Why is it that democrats think that any regulations or policies that protect the voting process (ID requirements, time requirements, signature requirements, etc.) will adversely impact voters who vote democrat?  Are they saying that only democrats are too stupid, sickly, feeble minded, etc. to follow the regulations or policies that Republicans are more than happy to comply with.  Please share your thoughts.

I think your taking for granted that liberal Democrats are actually conscious and aware of their surroundings.
