There was a good one over in Carlsbad  NM once.  And in Roswell, but not anymore, I think the internet had something to do with all that.

My favorite place to shop... years ago.  It was usually an Army-Navy surplus store.

There’s a good one in Anchorage Alaska. A small one in Crystal River Florida.

When I was a kid, we had Bill Jackson’s army navy surplus store in my home town of st. Pete Florida. Of course that was just after WW2 and their was lots of real surplus too be had. Like my genuine jungle hammock. Best camping gear I ever owned. And my GI cook kit and canteen.

I think what has really hurt the army surplus stores is all the China repop stuff they have and not really army surplus like it originally was. One of the things I used to buy were the old one man and 3 man rubber boats, bright yellow used them to catch a lot of fish. My favorite place to catch Black Bass was back in a area that the only way in was to hike in and so the one man rubber boat worked great.

There was a web site once out of Nevada that offered a lot of old Soviet military surplus stuff. I got a couple of really cool things off of it.  A big oil filled compass and a wind up ships clock, and they both worked great and still are. Said to be off of old decommissioned submarines, but I seriously doubt that lol.

"Sportsmans Guide" still has some actual military surplus, but I agree the repop stuff is much more prevalent, and not nearly as good.

I always found them to expensive, and true surplus was too worn for the money.
