Another Dam Pitbull!!!

I live mostly in a home "owner" neighborhood, but across the street, and two doors north of me the old woman died, and her kids are renting it out.
About 2 months ago the Beverly Hillbillies moved out, and Andy Griffith's ",The Darlin Family"move in.
The front yard is starting to junk up, complete with an old camper, and two pitbulls.
I took the female home ONCE, and handed her over to their teenage son, the BIG male pitbull did everything it could to get to me. Not in a friendly way, and I had to suggest they put him in a room with a door so we could talk.
I then talked to an adult family member about the female comin down here and raising hell. NUTHIN!
Then the dog started jumping my fence, and I called the cops
Dog got arrested.
NOW! NOW!!
Their letting the big male loose, and I can't let ole Rufus come around front when I'm in the garage, or front yard.
I don't want any problems with these river rats, and I don't want to kill the dog, but I have had to shoot pitbulls in the past.
The thought process, or lack there of, of owners of aggresive pitbulls is amazingly ABSENT!
And their never happy when you have to shoot the dam thing IN YOUR OWN YARD.

Loose animals usually get flattened
in the street here by the hood rats
driving recklessly. It's a game to them.
I can't tell you at the cats I've scooped
up and put in the trash. I learned a long
time back not to pin my hopes on
animal control to leave their nap time
and come do anything.

We don't have animal control in this little town, but the cops will write big tickets if you let your dogs run loose. Especially if someone complains.
Barring a confrontation with this big male pitbull, I'll sign a complaint next time he shows up.
If he starts a ruckus it'll end bad .

Never can tell about a stray animal.
Might get run over.  I've seen em out
in the street licking on food remnants
that people toss out. Never can tell.

This one would be like running over a hog. It'd tear sumthin up.

I don't know if the stock law
applies to pets.  A friend hit
big beef cow that got out, and
the cattle rancher had to pay
to fix his vehicle. The trooper
said if he'd been injured, they'd
have had to pay for that too.

  Years ago, I knew an old man who had trouble with a nasty dog, who would bother him on his own land. So, what did he do? 
  He fried up a sponge in bacon grease..next time that dog came around, he dropped it in his back yard.  Dog gobbled it up...sponge doesn't pass through..

  Not telling you to do that, just relating what that old man did many years ago !

Well, I don't want my vehicles tore up just to get rid of a pitbull. I'm just gonna not worry about it till it happens again. Ive got a 38 Airweight in my pocket most of the time anyway. He hasn't got on ole Rufus yet, and Rufus is never out front unless he's with me.
Its just aggravatin to have a neighbor turn a dog like that lose on his neighbors.

ironglow, that sponge trick while cruel, is genius. I don't think I could do it, but it took a smart guy to think of it.

We have a leash law here and all animals not on their owner's property must either be on a leash or under verbal control of owner. The county will send a deputy faster on a report of loose dog than if you tell them someone is breaking in your home.

You can file a warrant and owner will be arrested and fined. But then that is assuming you know and can prove ownership. It's a felony to shoot them however, the dog, not the owner. Here I think you get in more trouble for shooting someone's dog than if you shot the owner.

Yeah I remember you mentioned Alabama law was messed up like that.
I've shot several, but in my old age I'm getting a little softer.
This big bruiser hasn't caused much trouble yet but, i don't want him getting on Rufus.
Rufus is purty tuff but,  i don't want him crippled up fighting big pitbull.

Trust me on this statement. You DO NOT want to run over a full grown pitbull in anything smaller than a 2 1/2 ton truck. Voice of experience.

Anti Freeze. Oops, I forgot that I left  some of that out when I was working on my truck. And some kibbles accidentlly fell in it so I couldn't use it again.

Zoosadism is pleasure derived from cruelty to animals. Not the first time it's been mentioned.

I guess I will ask them first if they know you. And leave you a big dinner. You must live with rats .

  Then there was the story about a little old lady, who thought somebody was breaking into her garage.  She called 911, saying, I think somebody is breaking into my garage"..but nobody showed up !

  After half and hour wait, she called 911 again, saying "disregard my call about someone breaking into my garage, I just shot them!
 
  Police arrived within 2 minutes !
