The Series "YELLOWSTONE" Season Finale!!
« on: August 23, 2020, 05:27:53 PM »
Good grief!!!
What a way ta end the season!

John got shot!
Beth got blew up!

Kaycee was in a helluva gun fight, but didn't get to see who won!

Jamie betrayed the family!

Rip had ta shoot a horse, and saw dozens of buzzards circling "somethin" in the distance.

And Jimmy fell off a horse!

Now I gotta wait a year ta see if anybody died.

And if all that ain't enough, TWO-BLOCKED won't tell us who hes voting for.:-\

shssss! I haven't watched it yet. It recorded. My wife is the real addict to that program. She thinks Kevin Costner is about the sexiest thing alive. Him and Sam Elliot.

So does mine and she watches that show. She even bought a calendar with those two and Kurt Russel western photos on it.

I just started watching Yellowstone this season and got hooked. Now I'm gonna have to rent the first 2 seasons to figure out some loose ends that have me wondering.

Check netflix and hulu. I think it may be on one of those. Even if Argent did mess it up I'm still watching the season finale.

It's not on Netflix or hulu, and I'm Dee, not Argent.

As far as "messin it up" I don't have a copy of your "viewing schedule" of what you watch, or when you watch it. You might post it though, and I'll review it to see if it coincides with mine.  8)

In the mean time, check out the job they did on Rip's mother's corpse he had the cemetary folks dig up, so he could get her wedding ring to give to Beth. It looks almost real.

BTW oldandslow. Don't look at anything on YouTube. Their talking about the season finale to. ;D

Never seen any of it.
Is it set in modern times,  or
a historical drama?

Modern Montana ranching drama.  Very well done, and entertaining if you like westerns. For me, it's one of the best to come along in quite a while.

DITTO!  ..But then, I watch very little fictional accounts or drama.  Most people would be bored with my viewing diet, since I am an historical accuracy geek, and most people are not so concentrated.

Well,  trying for any kind of authenticity is a
relatively "modern " concept IMO.
Look at all the "Kentucky longrifle/trapdoor
springfields they used, and the large number
of colt peacemakers and lever 1892 and 1894
winchesters they used in movies and television
shows depicting the war between the states.
All the Indians depicted wearing war paint and
war bonnets at all times and all using plains
Indian lodges regardless of the region or tribe.
Working cowboys with their one horse loaded down
as if for a coast to coast trip,  etc. etc.

Yes, I agree and I don't care for those movies or TV dramas either.  I get more from books than I do from movies.  For my viewing, when I do so, Youtube documentaries are my first choice.  I just don't get into the drama..

..But as I said, most would probably be bored with my viewing/reading habits !

My apologies to both Dee and Argent for the mix-up. I hadn't had my coffee yet and wasn't up to speed. Netflix was just a suggestion to maybe save a buck and I would simply skip anything on youtube that concerned it.

I watched it last night. The mother segment was a bit gross in my book. The other violence is OK but digging up the dead gives me the creeps.

That's ok O&S no harm done. I guess I'm going to have to check this series out. My wife has them all
recorded.

Ah Dan you foul fiend, I had no TV available Sunday so I could not watch it but then I have only started watching it so most of the name you mentioned I do not know who is who.

Now I figured Jamie would wimp out but I had hoped he would man up.

I am curious as to what his real dad said to him.

It will rerun so I will catch it then.

It's a good one. Never a dull moment. Hint, Costner is a mean son-of-a-gun in this one.

So Where Does the Story Go From Here?

Yellowstone manages to do a stellar job of lining up a villain each season and then setting the Dutton family loose on them.
In Season Three, that was Market Equities and the threat of losing the ranch to this giant conglomerate looking to build an airport. That story is decidedly unfinished.

With Beth, Kayce, and John's fate seemingly hanging in the balance because of bombs and assault rifles, it seems that we have not seen the last of Roarke and Willa yet.
If the three of them make it out alive—John seems fine, but Beth got blown up and Kayce is behind a desk getting peppered with bullets—Willa and Roarke have some 'splainin' to do.
yellowstone finale

But the truly intriguing story that we anticipate being fleshed out in Season Four is this ever-present standoff between the indigenous people of Montana and the Dutton family.
Monica stands to be a big part of that discussion, and this season teased her as a leader of the cause. That should cause quite a stir between her and Kayce.

Also, it may be a little too soon, but a Rip and Beth wedding could be on the horizon.
Since he nabbed his dead mother's wedding ring off of her years-old-decayed hand, he wants to make the move. However, who knows about that situation now. Cowboy boots and dancing music seems like a great visual, but this is also Yellowstone, and a bonafide wedding—especially for two people with such troubled lives—seems like a perfect setting for some kind of disaster or drama. And there's always a new threat on the horizon.
