The most notable thing I recall concerning the early Dynaflow transmissions, was their seemingly struggling to get from 0 to 60, in 3 minutes flat.
  They did compliment the nearly legendary smooth ride of the Buicks, but standing quarter was not their "cup of tea".

they should have drove a Packard from the 50s with there original auto. It made the powerglide seem like a modern 10 speed in comparison.
