When I spoke to Hamilton Bowen, after he stopped odd ball work, he recommended Mr. Gallagher.

John Thomas Gallagher - Posted Thursday, April 16, 2020
John Thomas Gallagher, 62, of Jasper, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at his residence.A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.Mr. Gallagher was born and raised in West Texas, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman from a young age. His passions had him move to Montana, where he met his wife, Beverly. He pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a gunsmith by attending gunsmithing college in Colorado. He and his family moved to Alabama in the early 90's where he started his career and became one of the top gunsmiths in the country. He will be missed by many.

He did great work. He built me a 32 mag bearcat and a 41 spec single six. Wonder what got him. Awful young to die. My neighbor and one of my best friends died last weekend at 65 from a stroke. He was doing some work on his lathe for me 5 hours before it happened and he was a chipper as ever.
