Beware the McWrap
« on: May 15, 2013, 03:39:31 PM »
Took a bit of a road trip and stopped at mcdonalds to eat. Tried the new McWrap, which is phonetically the same as McCrap. It was pure gag. Ultra vile. I had the ranch flavor and they managed to still add a ton of sugar to the danged thing.

The vegies are preserved with some horrid crap.

Five turds on a scale of one to five with five being the most turdilicious.

You knew this wouldnt end well as soon as you read the first sentence.

On the lighter side of the news, also stopped at taco bell and had cantina salad, veggie version. Surprisingly good for big fast food. Seemed wholesome and was not a gut bomb. I would get that again.

cain't handle any mc dukies menu items :(
way too salty! !
a couple of decades ago, it wasn't near
as bad, at least it was edible.
must be the corporate influence, lot of
salt, buy more drinks?
most of taco smell's food is half decent
if you get something without that
dipped-out-of-the-five-gallon-bucket
watery cheese.

I dont know what posessed me to go to mcdonalds. I saw the sign for the wrap and was intrigued. Should have known better.

Not much experience with taco bell. Last try was gourd dangned burrito slop mess. Swore them off. But tried them again anyway and the cantina thing was pretty good.

i don't stop at taco smell unless i'm
by myself or on a motorcycle. i'll
get a bean burrito and a beef or
chicken soft taco. it's really hard
for the most inept min. wager to
screw that up, and it's not an arm
and a leg. i don't like to order any
elaborate or complicated things on
the rare occasion i have to eat at
a gas food. . .i meant fast food joint.
i try to plan ahead and have a couple
sandwiches or something ready made
to take along. and at least i know i don't
have a disease, or have botulism tainted goods.

There is a couple of Breakfast items that I will consume there, one of them is coffee.

McD's breakfast is good, in my opinion. Give me a sausage & egg mcmuffin & large coffee, and I'm happy. good for the soul, if not the heart (like a lot of foods)

had sushi last night. mm mmm good.

Darn just rub it in why don't you! I love sushi but as I'm sure you know its next to impossible to
get it in this state. Never eat at Mc I've seen the old dairy cows they buy for their meat.
And the chickens are not much better. Taco Villa is ten times better than Taco Bell every time a
Taco Villa shows up the Taco Bell nearby closes its doors.
And what is that Taco Bell hot sauce all about? I've had ketchup that was hotter than that!
Mexican food from New York City, get a rope!  ;D
Same thing with Tabasco that's nothing but watered down red stuff. Louisiana hot sauce is far
superior to that trash. Our poor troops, I can't believe they have to suffer through with Tabasco
supplied with their MRE's. Get another rope.

McDonalds gives money to Handgun Control each year, i remember the ship full of kangaroo meat that was stopped at the port from going to MacDonalds. Haven't eaten there since.
My grandsons first words were  "MacDonalds is anti gun".   Wonder who taught him that?

Oh and the Japanise beer they serve in those sushi bars in Addison Texas is really good.
YT did you take a look at those ceramic knives those sushi chiefs use?
Not the cheap stuff there, one chief told me that one of his knives cost $400.00.
And he had a bunch of them.
As far as Mc Barfals I think I would settle on Alpo before I would eat that trash.
Taco Bell taste like cardboard, KFC will make you hate eating there in the morning.
And BK taste like nuke food. I do like Wendy's.

BK in Fort Stockton nukes it so hot it has no taste and you cant eat it anyway.  Sonic has begun nuking their food also.  Carl's Jr is my last resort, and I rarely eat the salt laden fast foods.

I won't eat Taco Bell. If I want Mexican food, I go to a Mexican (I look for family owned) restaurant. It's nearly as cheap! Same thing with Chinese or Korean food, though I haven't had any in a while. Sushi, I can take or leave--- it's ok, but I don't get too excited about it.

Hey, Anna, do you still have to tell Mc D's to leave the green chillis off your burger? (You may have heard; I'm not implying that anyone actually eats there!) The NM State Fair used to have a green chilli cheeseburger contest every year--- now THOSE are good!
If you give up, THEY don't have to win.

If I am travelling and want fast food..I'll usually stop at Subway.  Most of their subs have a healthier balance, considering the food pyramid.. bread, dairy, meat and a quantity of fresh vegetables.  I haven't tried their breakfast food yet..
Hamburgers..I prefer my own, although I may eat others when I travel.  Last fall I probably killed the best eating venison I ever shot.   I got him in a small woods surrounded by fields of corn, soybeans and alfalfa.  Saved just a little steaks & tenderloin..rest into burger.
For beef, I have a friend who raises Scottish Highlander cattle.  These tough little fellows live primarily upon roughage and very little grain..  This is the great beef I prefer.
As far as sushi etc...  If it walks, runs, swims, flys or crawls.. I want it cooked first..but that's just me.

OH, BTW:  ..I do sometimes eat steak..but it must be well done.
If I wanted it as raw as some do,  that's almost like biting a cow in the butt!
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

It seems odd that folks are so obsessed with food these days.  Next to dogs they seem to obsess over food  as much as sex.

Everything is five dollars anymore have you looked at the prices at any supermarket?
No wonder the oil company's feel left out in their pricing.

people obsessing about sex is why you are here swampman. but I guess if you obsess in the dark with the lights off and fully clothed its not obsessing, just procreating.  ::)

Anna,

Good point about prices. I used to go to subway about twice a week, but the prices went up just enough to repel me. Now I go maybe once a month.
