Gun Show In Corona, CA
« on: May 14, 2013, 02:40:05 PM »
In case you all wanted to know there will be a gun Show in Corona, CA on May 31 - June 2nd of 2013.
What is different about this show is guns are not sold at the show but you can try out the new guns offered in the state.  There is a fee associated with shooting each gun, but the show is a good way to see if you like this gun or that, what the recoil is like .....  IS that really the gun you want?  Great ways to figure it out and try the different guns out.
The different Manufacturers reps set up a booth with the firearms on the firing line.
It is a great show for kids and wives to try different guns out, they even have a couple of kids booths.   Not to mention some of the celebraties walking around you can see shoot as well as meet. Benelli Tim was a great guy to talk with as is Rob Lathem.  Not sure if they will be there this year but they were both willing to stop and talk wiht anyone and everyone.  As was Tom Knapp but he passed away earlier this year.
And it looks like I will be in the Benelli Booth, so stop on my to say hello.  I will be the fat guy in a Benelli or Sure fire hat that look like the guy in my avitar.
I suggest you bring some sun block, good hearing protection for you and your family,  and your allowance.

Mcduck if I was in California I would stop by. That sounds like a good way to test fire some guns. Wonder if they will be sold discount after the show?

different gun show concept. i would expect it from california.i can def see it spreading to the rest of the states if the dems git there ways. if i was in cali  i wud be more worried about getting the ff back to missouri, arkansaw or texas.than going to a gun show.

but i hear the weather is nice there.no offense intended to op.

Most of the guns are sent directly from the manufacturers and are sent back after the show,
I did buy one of the samples.  It was a Sig P220Sport that I would not let anyone at the range shoot until after I bought it.   ;D
The next year the rep changed from Sig to H&K and I had a bunch of people stopping by to see if they could shoot the Sport.  I showed them the H&K USP in 45 instead and let them shoot it.

The first year I did the show I was on the firing line and was showing people the Benelli shotguns and was teaching new people how to shoot shotguns at a low crosser.  After trying to speak over the gun fire for three days I lost my voice.  Work the next week was fun.
