What about a Meck-Teck 10mm CCU upper. for my Glock 20

Anybody have one, and can you use slower burning powder to take advantage of the 16 inch bbl. ?  Now this sounds like a pig gun that a coonass ought to have!

Am on the list and expect to hear from Mech Tech any day! From research you can get 2000 fps and almost 1000 ftlbs of stomp! Getting the 10 mm upper to put on Glock 21 frame, that way I have 10mm carbine and Glock 20 pistol at the same time.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a 10mm pistol?

If you have a 10 mm pistol(glock or 1911) you can take off the slide put the lower on the ccu and have a 10MM carbine with some extra speed and energy. Do I need a Mech Tech ccu or a 10mm pistol for that matter? NOPE! but what does that have to do with anything?   ::)   ;)

I have heard that it's limited as far as what loads will work well, but that's third hand internet chatter.   The MecTec is straight blowback, so really hot loads may blow it open harder than you want them to.  That said, those I've talked to (online) who have them say they are the bee's knees if you feed them what the manufacturer recommends.

There aren't may options out there for carbines in 10mm.  Too bad, because it's a great cartridge and I think lends itself well to a carbine.  The MecTec is probably the most cost effective way into a ten mill shoulder arm.   Please keep us posted.  I'd love to hear more about these.
