Mowing lawn wearing winter hunting jacket with hood.
« on: May 13, 2013, 08:11:20 AM »
Yep! Cold out there, with snow in the air.  The grass grew so fast the last couple weeks so I finally had to mow between rainfall & snowfall.  It made my little John deere grunt some
I'm getting soooo tired of this "global warming"....

Where I live, May 13th is the latest in my life time I have seen snow flurries. I saw them today. I remember once when I was  around 10, I saw snow on May 9th. With this global warming trend, might be soon I'll see some snow at the end of May.
I hear ya IG. I'm getting tired of this global warming too.

Second coldest spring here in recorded history and that's well over 100 years.  Put out garden just short of a month later this year than usual and had heavy frost with below freezing temps last night. :o

Al Gore isn't getting tired of "global warming" however; recent reports say he has a $200,000,000 bank account!

Well Al is going to need to come up with something else this approach isn't working for him anymore.
I have however heard the Greens say that colder weather is a sure sign of global warming.  :o
But then some of them say we are on the verge of another ice age.
Well my dog had puppy's once so that's a sure sign of an alien abduction. The mutts came out

Just look at what "global warming" is doing to homes in Minnesota..right now in mid May !!  Indeed, it is almost as in God is saying;  "when will you global warmies ever learn?".
I don't wish this on anybody..but if it has to happen, I hope it's "Warmies" who have to hunt up a place to sleep.

If you're going to make jokes about climate change you'll come across as a lot funnier and look smarter if you recognize that wild weather swings are one of the basic tenets.

Here's a funny one: Your insurance company now recognizes the risks associated with these swings and may have to take action.

For Insurers, No Doubts on Climate Change

Biblical prophesy predicts such weather events.. and says nothing about "global warming".  I accept that weather changes and there are  mini-cycles of unexpected and unusual swings of heat and cold, but this has been transpiring all through recorded history.

Now, let's put the thinking cap on; the GW high priest is Al Gore.  Al Gore said that the glaciers melting would raise the ocean level something like 20 ft in 10 years..then he spends $8, 850, 000 on an oceanside villa in California..  That is just one of many hypocrisies we see daily from the warmists.
Recently they beganto sing a slightly different tune, recasting their panic as "climate change".  Well, that puts us back at square #1, since we all can agree that the climate does change.

Thats what makes your man made global warming theory so far fetched. Everything that has happen in the last 40 years is because of man made global warming. Its one of the basic tenets, its one of the basic tenets..........and everyone that doesn't believe that is stoopid. Don't know how old you are 2B, but you have been well indoctrinated. Congrats!

It's money well spent!
 The Cost of Climate Change
What We'll Pay if Global Warming Continues Unchecked

Global warming comes with a big price tag for every country in the world. The 80 percent reduction in U.S. emissions needed to stop climate change may not come cheaply, but the cost of failing to act will be much greater. New research shows that if present trends continue, the total cost of global warming will be as high as 3.6 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Four global warming impacts alone -- hurricane damage, real estate losses, energy costs, and water costs -- will come with a price tag of 1.8 percent of U.S. GDP, or almost $1.9 trillion annually (in today's dollars) by 2100. We know how to avert most of these damages through strong action to reduce the emissions that cause global warming. But the longer we wait, the more painful -- and expensive -- the consequences will be.

Take your show on the road! Try China. Let us know how that works for ya.

Why do I think that if a president other than barry was wanting to cap and tax you, you would be indignant.

Go tell the Chicoms that they are heating the world up! Besides, looks like it is going to cost us one way or the other. The way barry is lying these days the least of his worries will be the climate change. We may not survive this presidency, who can take a bunch of lies and fraud seriously. Send more money to ALgore. he only has 200 million now.

If you like cap & trade tax..YOU pay it.  Those of us who don't believe it necessary, should not have to.
Even if GW were a fact (and it's not) , such a tax would not be near so onerous, if so much of the funds didn't end up in the pockets of Al Gore and any number of little piglets, crowding to get their hungry mouths on a government teat!
In fact; some of the money would end up in the federal government, where we would be fortunate if 20% ended up doing anything for the original problem.

By the looks of the Obama administration with new corruption breaking forth almost every day, why should good money be sent after bad?    ..It would simply disappear into the maw of an ever-growing, ever-wasteful government.

First and foremost, we shouldn't be screaming about the "sky is falling".. Alas; so often.. talking warmies is like "beating a dead horse"..  click on the pic..

I'm pretty much done with you and your propaganda.

Just what do you drive to Leftist school everyday, and do you heat your home.Go convince the chinese, and the rest of the industrial nations,(that are still solvent) then come back on your pack mule and we will sit down and talk.

You still cant prove squat! it is all theory! The only actuall proof you had was debunked as a fraud, just as your leader is. Here is betting he dont keep his thermostat high in summer and low in winter. No matter what he says!  ::)

It's amazing when a "debunked", "fraudulent", "leftist", "propaganda" theory gets bought into by a major oil company!

I'm thankful they recognize the "facts" and are stepping up to the plate so we don't "get what we deserve"

At Chevron, we recognize and share the concerns of governments and the public about climate change. The use of fossil fuels to meet the world's energy needs is a contributor to an increase in greenhouse gases (GHGs)—mainly carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane—in the Earth's atmosphere. There is a widespread view that this increase is leading to climate change, with adverse effects on the environment.
Guided by our Seven Principles for Addressing Climate Change, Chevron is working internationally and at the U.S. federal and state levels to contribute to climate change policy discussions. Our stance reflects a balanced approach to addressing climate change through short- and long-term measures. As we work to reduce GHGs, our collective challenge is to create solutions that protect the environment without undermining the growth of the global economy. We believe that a successful climate policy will be one in which the reduction of GHGs is accomplished equitably by the top emitting countries of the world through long-term and coordinated national frameworks.

http://www.chevron.com/globalissues/climatechange/?utm_campaign=US_Energy_Issues_-_Climate_Change&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=bing_yahoo&utm_term=climate_change_action&utm_content=Y4MkOz9y|pcrid|1855863438|pkw|climate%20change%20action|pmt|e

Now how do you think they were duped into this "warmest" hoax?

2b blocked.

China is polluting at the same rate as the USA did in the 50s and 60s. Problem is China is just a bit larger than the USA, say 10 times larger than we were in 1960.   Doesn't matter how much we reduce pollution. China is polluting uncontrolled. Add that to the volcanoes and no matter how much we reduce it just does not matter.

Sorry Darlin', but you're wrong on both accounts!

Do the Earth’s volcanoes emit more CO2 than human activities? Research findings indicate that the answer to this frequently asked question is a clear and unequivocal, “No.” Human activities, responsible for a projected 35 billion metric tons (gigatons) of CO2 emissions in 2010 (Friedlingstein et al., 2010), release an amount of CO2 that dwarfs the annual CO2 emissions of all the world’s degassing subaerial and submarine volcanoes (Gerlach, 2011).
http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/hazards/gas/climate.php

The U.S. puts out more CO2 than any other nation on earth, including China and India, by a large margin.
Considering the relative populations (a billion-plus each for China and India versus 300 million in the U.S.), per capita emissions in the U.S. are many times larger. This has been true for the past 100-plus years of CO2 pollution.

per capita means jack.  it is total that matters.  300 million Americans, roughly 2,000 million Chinese and Indians. Almost 7 times as many. Per capita my ass.

Alright, I'll agree that China's total CO2 emissions are greater.

China- 7,031,916,000 tonnes per year
USA- 5,461,014,000 tonnes per year
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_carbon_dioxide_emissions

Per Capita does matter. If our per capita was the same as China where would we be?
Hint: much lower
