Muzzle brake for FR-8
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:26:02 PM »
I have a FR-8 Mauser that I want to sporterize. It was, to be polite, "modified" when I bought it. I don't like the look of  the stock flash hider and want to convert to a muzzle brake. Does anyone know of a source for such a part? I know that "plan B" would be to machine the flash hider and graft on a modified muzzle brake, but I don't have the talent to do it. Thanks in advance for any help or advise.   John

With the prices of these going high,if you have not modified it, you might want to consider selling and buying something all done.

I really appreciate your response. I bought it already D&T'd, bolt handle reworked, and rear bridge crudely filed down, so it is not salvageable. Thanks again.  John
