front sight tool for 98 Mauser

Need sight adjuster (pusher)  for 98 Mauser. (front) I know I can use a brass punch and hammer, but thats a little tough at the range. What are you guys using and where can I get one?

I've always just used the brass punch and hammer method.
 
It would be nice to have a sight pusher tool, but for no more often than I would use one I can't justify the price.
Last time I looked the prices on them run from something like $40 on up.  B-Square and Williams Gun Sight both make them, and probably others as well.

Jim;  check out Brownells, they have just the right tool for your front sight and it is easy to use while on the range.  I serioulsy doubt the tool is anywhere near $40.  That's where I got mine, and it works on my Mausers, Winchesters and just about anything else with a drift adjustale front sight.

   Thanks.  Just ordered me a new Brownells catalogue. Will look it up. In the mean time it's hammer and punch.

my uncle CNC's them for the mosin, couldnt be any different that the mauser, could it?

Thanks for the post.
   I have pretty much gotten use to the punch and hammer. I placed a large handle screw driver inder the barrel and the slots in the screw driver make a good solid rest for the barrel.    Bought a new TALL front sight from Brownells, took punch, hammer, screwdriver and asst. files to the range. With my friend spotting for me, I was able to get it shooting really good.

I bought several different models from a guy named "Stan" (can't recall his last name) that used to advertise on Gunboards.
I had a Russian M44 that only shot to the sights with the bayonet extended.
I was determined to fix that, but the brass drift just peened over & wouldn't budge the sight.
I got concerned & suspected I would knock the base off the barrel, so I quit & searched the web.
Anyhow, I came up with these sight pushers & they did the job.
FWIW, you might want to reconsider the drift - I'm sure that a sight pusher would be cheaper than a trip to the gunsmith.
Side benefit is it is much easier to control the amount of movement.
