older huntsman 45 caliber questions

got one, older with single swiveling non adjustable blade rear sight. has anyone ever replaced it with something a little better?

also, whats a good powder charge, its got the push in type breech plug and the 209 upgrade.

also, whats the nominal projectile diameter y'all have found that works best?

there isnt much if any info on the 70s huntsman though. I glanced there before I posted.

I am not an expert, but I have three .45 Huntsman from that era.  They have two different types of breach plugs and two different types of sights.  I can't discern any rhime or reason to the sights.  Two of them are the fold down type as you discribe and one is a very nice type with a screw elevator more like a .22 would have.  That one looks like the one which came on my former Shikari. The others look like the sight on my current Shikari.  Hope that is helpful.
