Winchester Centennial '66 Carbine

My partner picked up one of these with the brass plated receiver and octagon barrel, SN# 6489.  It is new in box.  I am aware that around 100,000 or so of the rifle and carbine were made.  What I want to know is how many of the carbine were built?
