My "New to Me" 2008 Suzuke C109RT Boulevard
« on: March 14, 2013, 09:06:33 AM »
I was lookin at Harley, and ran across this bike quite by accident. It is immaculate, and has 2,500 miles on it. Yep! Not a scratch and 2,500 miles. Kinda makes ya wonder why the guy bought it. It was completely stock.
Anyway! This is 200ccs bigger than my 1600cc was, and is a softail frame. It in the power category is a beast (114 hp at 5400 rpms), but the handling is lighter than my Kawasaki Classic was, and although it's a little over 8' long turns tighter for me. I raised the handle bars a little, put passenger floor boards on it, and a luggage rack. I put red LEDs under the tank on both sides, and will now order highway bars to protect the engine and tank.
I have no idea what kinda mileage it will get as I hear everything from 30mph to 50mph. If anyone else has one let me know what you get. This is a really good ride, and am lookin forward to puttin some miles on it.

Looks good! Enjoy. If I may ask what did you have to give for it?

But a big man like you really needs to put a set of "apes" on her!   :P

Dee, the only thing I didn't like about the Kawasaki Vulcan 1800cc I had was the high center of gravity it had. With the Loss of strength in my hands & legs it became hard for me to manage. I can imagine the Suzuki does handle better.   ;)

Hope you enjoy your new ride.
