The president said in 08' that he thought fuel cost in the U.S. should be equal with the rest of the world, 6-7.00 a gallon was about right. This would create reason to persue electric cars like the volt. He's over halfway there.
I just heard that per barrel cost was down 39% since last july. Yet cost is still equal or even higher. The industry has long since quit trying to equate rising fuel cost with the by the barrel price, now they use "seasonal changes" and refinery problems as the cost for rising cost. That and global demand. J
