what is the difference between a tikka whitetail hunter and a tikka whitetail hunter deluxe?

The delux has a very shiny stock with a slightly better grade of walnut although the stocks on the regular whitetail hunters I've seen/held where very nice.

ohh well i was looking at the synthetic... So there is no such thing as a deluxe sythetic WH right?? or is there? i can get a blued synth. for 429$. good or not?

Right, no such thing as a delux synthetic.  The whitetail delux rifles go for between $575.00 - $700.00.  If you are still  thinking about a magnum caliber you would be better served (in my mind) with saving up a little longer, or whatever, and getting a delux or laminated over the synthetic.  I think the recoil would not make you happy.

icic i hear you, i do like the the synthetic because if it is rainy or going through thick bruch you wont scratch it all to heck. But u might be right, i need to just shoot one like i want and see. But i have seen a few people with varies .300 mag synthetics and they handle pretty well... so ill see
