BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Sylvester Stallone says that despite his "Rambo" image and new shoot-em-up film "Bullet to the Head," he's in favor of new national gun control legislation.
Stallone supported the 1994 "Brady bill" that included a now-expired ban on assault weapons, and hopes that ban can be reinstated.
"I know people get (upset) and go, 'They're going to take away the assault weapon.' Who ... needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you're carrying out an assault. ... You can't hunt with it. ... Who's going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?"
The 66-year-old actor, writer and director said he also hopes for an additional focus on mental health to prevent future mass shootings.

"It's unbelievably horrible, what's happened. I think the biggest problem, seriously, is not so much guns. It's that every one of these people that have done these things in the past 30 years are friggin' crazy. Really crazy! And that's where we've dropped the ball: mental health," he said. "That to me is our biggest problem in the future, is insanity coupled with isolation."
Stallone is now in production on his next project, pairing up with the former "Raging Bull" Robert De Niro for "Grudge Match," about two aging boxers.
"People think it's going to be some geezer brawl. Really? OK, they're in for a surprise. I'm telling you. I've been working on the fight, the choreography. He's taking it deadly serious. Because no one wants to be shown up," Stallone said of De Niro. "It's going to be like a 'Rocky' fight. This will be 'Rocky 7,' with me fighting — with Rocky fighting the 'Raging Bull.'"

He's made millions of dollars glorifying the use of real assault weapons. What a POS hypocrite.

Wonder if he would support a ban on assault weapon movies?

Very typical of the Hollywood elitists. They are all about making money and furthering their carriers at any cost. However when it comes time to take responsibility for their actions. They are no where to be found. They also think because they are a big star I should care what they have to say. I can tell you now, I don't give a tinkers damn what they have to say.

Go to their web site they make several different models . That one was made by Randall just for that
movie and never was really practical for anything but Hollywierd.
You probably had the Airman or the fighting knife . The Airman was the most issued model and was
issued to our pilots and even to our astronauts . The Gerber was also issued even in a configuration
that was curved to facilitate the curvature of your hip when sitting down.
But it was still the Kabar that was the most widely issued knife of the war.

That is a copy of the Lile knive use in one of the rambo movies , First Blood or Rambo II . Both were made by Lile . United made the copys . Gil Hibben made the knives for Rambo III and IIII . Randalls are much better knives IMHO.

It was sort of a combination of them both according to this . Randall got the credit because
Stallone actually called his knife a Randall in the first movie .
But as seen here it was Randall who started the hollow handle combat knife . Jimmy Lile did
make this copy for that movie but it was from a Randall design.
I knew that Randall was in there somewhere, and i did as a kid once go to their factory with  my dad in Orlando Florida.Where they have a knife like this on display .
Now, what was the nick name of the Gerber Mk II that had the curve at the center of the
knife ? I thought it was a pretty funny name for a fighting knife .

Don't know about the nickname . The first mk II had a cant to the blades , and what was called a cat's tounge grip . The rough metal handle felt like a cats tounge I guess . It was said so many were sent back because of the cant , they though the blades were bent , that gerber made them straight after that . I have a mk II I got from a air force captain who carried it in Vietnam  , he spoke very highly of it .

I all ways wanted a Randall no. 1 but the 4 year wait always stop me from ordering one .

I only have a SOG and they are more brag than substance . Cold Steel is ok but none if them are as good as a Randall IMO . Now a Kabar is still a pretty good knife for the money and I've been thinking
about getting one of those .
As far as Stallone , I never thought he was a very good actor anyway. He's to ate up on himself just like so many other action film actors from that era are . I can't stand Seagal the testosterone
levels of his movies make them not worth watching . Besides I think that Van Damme is one cute guy
and he could kick all their bu**s.  ;D
