i,m just starting to get this rolling,i have been shooting it and it does well, any one else have a like project and how is it woking out? eastbank.

Sounds like a fun little gun. That is one round I have never played with, but was a hot round in it`s day. My latest project is a 6mm-300 WSM. I have the barrel ready to shoot, but want to get it Nitraded before I start shooting it.

I have a British BSA small action Martini that I had chambered for .22 K-Hornet.  The firing pin is all screwed up right now.  I'm planning to have it rebarreled to another round when I have the pin fixed.

I've considered a bunch of different calibers but I haven't made a final choice yet...

i have been fire forming with win 296 and some junk .22 bullets, i started low and got some wierd looking cases.,now 12-13grs does the trick. i made a few cases out of 32-20 and 25-20,s and they work ,but have a very short neck. eastbank.

I have one in a Marlin Model 94 lever gun. It will only shoot the Remington 45gr bullets with any kind of accuracy. Groups at 1 1/2" at 100 with open sights is good enough though. Sure makes for a nice turkey gun. Decked an 18  pounder last season at about 25 yds with it. It's a lot easier on the brass than my 218 Bee in an original Winchester Model 43. That rifle is extremely accurate at 100 yds but brass life is around 3 loadings and then splits are common. I'm using AA1680 in both cartridges.

 I have a interesting rifle that has a German Zeller martini action and a 1 pc. stock.  It was a K hornet when I got it and I am rebarreling it to a .256 Win Mag when I can get the barrel I want.
 Green Mountain has a 30" tapered octagon barrel in .257 cal. listed on there website but when I tried to order it was out of stock and they now list it as such. Hope they get more soon !
 I think the Peabody / Martini action is the simplist best designed single shot action ever ,If not abused I dont think you could ever wear one of them out.

Nice looking rifle. 

I too happen to like the Mashburn Bee.  In fact, I have two.  One based on a Martini 12/15 with a Green Mountain barrel the other is on a CPA 44 1/2.  The short neck issue that you mentioned is caused by using the wrong case.  Both the 25-20 and the 32-20 cases are .020" shorter than the .218 Bee.  The result is a neck that is noticeably shorter.
