Sometime back. I posted asking for prayers for my Grandson in the Navy. Tyler Had gone though 2 brain surgeries to remove a very aggressive malignant tumor.He was taken from aboard the USS Reagan to the Naval Hosp. in San Diego, Ca.Four months after the first operation, the tumor had grown almost to it's original size. Eight months have passed now, and the tumor has not returned.
Thank you all for the prayers. Since this is Cancer were talking about, he is not out of danger. These things can return. The Department of the Navy has "I think the correct term is".......Medically Retired him with pay.For the time being, he is 100% disabled.He plans on using his Military scholarship and return to school after his discharge (Feb 8th).
While recouping at the Naval Hospital facility in S.D. He began began writing country songs. Country to him anyway He also plays guitar and sings a bit. Someone on the base heard one of his songs and introduced him to someone involved with the wounded warriors project. This is the project, country music star Trace Adkins is tied to. To make a long story short! I think they will use his song on an album for the Wounded Warriors project.He has recorded a demo at a studio in L. A. I guess it's a waiting time now, to see if they use it on the Album. If so, I guess he will get to go to Nashville to do so. He's pretty excited about it. To be quite honest....I am too!
