Do you have anything of value to add?
Value of a statement is not an easy thing to measure. There are a lot of things to factor in, and most are subjective. For instance, if you try to assess value, based on content alone, you ignore the context surrounding the message and the audience and how they will receive the message. So, in determining the value of a statement, we have to consider (1)the purpose of the message - what response do I hope to elicit from the audience? (2)context - how do I deliver the message in a way that's meaningful to the audience? And (3) impact - was the message received and did it elicit the desired response from the audience?
Now that we've established that rubric, lets readdress the original question. Do I have anything of value to add? That depends on who you ask. Judging by the mindset of my intended audience, the answer is probably no.
Now, lets apply that same rubric to you. Since you've been here, all you've done is irritate and annoy people. Depending on whether or not that's the response you had hoped for, you're either a troll, or a complete failure at communicating with other people. Apparently I don't have anything of value to add, and neither do you.
Since you've been here, you've accused people of carping and complaining... Then proceeded to carp and complain a out us doing so. Either get off your high horse and join the conversation in a meaningful way, or just move along.
