So with what happened to Ben and the craziness in the world, I mentioned to my wife that I needed to go through the safe and update my list of serial #'s and pics.  Well being the great wife that she is, her services were quickly offered.  I had no time to react, just sat there flapping my jaw with nothing coming out.  I had stepped right in it. 
So she offers to write down all the serial #'s and descriptions.  After one or two she said, I think it would be smart to have values with all of these. ( we have been doing will stuff too).  Now I figure this is going to be painful.  We go through all of the guns and she carefully writes down all the numbers, descriptions and values.  We get to the end and I see her counting.  I know what is coming.  You guys guessed it.  " So why do you need 17 handi rifles"?  I looked over and she is grinning from ear to ear.  She says " I am glad you are not addicted to $2000 guns" and doesn't say another word.  She is a good wife.

ROFL.  Mine was similar, but she always has to get in the, "Another barrel?" when I get a new one...  lol

   I had a nightmare one time. I dreamed I died and I was looking down from heaven, I saw my wife selling all my guns for what I told her I paid for them. It made me cry. :(

Mine did pretty much the same thing, but at the end she said, "Don't you ever say anything about me buying clothes or shoes".  Since then I keep my mouth shut.
 
She spends her money on what she wants to, and I spend mine on what I want to.
 
She is ready to buy a new Nisson 370 Z, and I can not say a thing.

OK guys, here is the deal.  My wife would be available to talk to your wives to tell them how great it is we have this hobby, uummm, addiction and how it makes us so much easier to live with.  This of course will not be cheap.  Depending on how deep you are standing in the poop the cost could range from a few spare brass to a full comi rifle or 7x57 or 7x64.  You get the idea.  Just let me know and I am sure we can work something out.  Don't wait, the price only goes up with the amount of trouble you are in  ;D

The only real problem I have is my wife keeps picking out which one to give which grandchild.....WAIT....I ain't dead yet..... :'(
 
She also wanted to know with all the ones I sold and the ones that were stolen how I still had so many......a problem that aroze when I began pulling them out from under my bed and behind the dresser...

Mine is wondering why  I just bought a 2 door safe since I only have a "few" rifles.  Yeah.....uuuhhhh....more room for important documents and pictures.

I have a keeper, she knows I have a some but don't know how many, and doesn't really care as long as I stay out of the bars and on the porch and bark at the cars, she's happy.

Yep, you have a keeper.  Reminds me about a conversation my new wife had with a (newly divorced) neighbor 30+ years ago.  She was complaining that I was spending a lot of time in the garage which I had filled up with bikes, boats, etc.  The neighbor said to her: "at least you know where he is."  Point taken.  She doesn't care how many guns I have as long as the bills get paid and we don't live in poverty.  They do and we don't.  Retired now so I don't spend as much on toys.  gene

Been married 30+ years.  We have a deal.  I get 1/2 of the amount she spends on jewlery for my rifle account.  Last year she took a peek in the gun safe and saw less than 20 firearms.  At that time I had to confess that I had consolidated calibers and kept only my favorites.  I then had to tell her what I did with the money.  I had been setting it aside for a trip to Victoria for our anniversary.  She has since started selling unused jewlery on Ebay.   She says we are going to Sicily next year and taking the kidsboth married, to see that part of thier heritage with her money. 
To me that's a keeper,

No doubt I have a good one. She could care less what guns I have or want.  She just likes to poke a little fun at me.  My only problem is she loves hunting and shooting and every now and then I lose a gun that becomes "hers".  It is sure a good problem to have.

 mine knows and is  ok with it also... she has a .223 and loves it, so i thought i would pick up a .243 for her also...lol  this is why I love her... she said its to heavy and  wont shoot it.  so Its MINE now  its a .fluted 24" barrel  guess that 4" was just too much weight ...lol

  no I would never ....lol  I picked it up in a trade for her.. we are planing a mule deer hunt and I want her to have a little more then her .223.....  Not my falt she thinks its too heavy.. did not fit her frame anyway so i picked up 2 more in a secound trade Now I have A 243... Im ok with that

I married a Missouri country girl about 39yrs ago who likes guns. Heck, she outshoots me with my Kentucky rifle. So she don't say much, as long as I keep buying her the pearls,diamonds,emeralds- ;D she's happy.
(she even took me to the new Cabela's  here to the gun section while she checked out the smokers- I love that woman)

My wif doesn't care when she finds out I got another gun she usually asks of it kicks and depending on what I say she tells me I can keep it but only if she can shoot it. I try to hope she doesn't like what I get now cause when I brought my last pistol home (ruger LCR) she squeezed the trigger 4 times looke at me and asks if it coul be her gun I was so happy I couldn't tell her no so now I have one and she has one

A friend of mine did something similar and his wife used the list in the divorce and he had to buy back his guns from the joint assets.
After telling another friend about it.  When his wife said something about his gun collection He was smart enough to look at her ans say I will grab the guns and meet you in the living room, you go get your jewlery box so we can list all assets adn get pictures.  His wife said never mind and does not care what is in the gun safe.

pfhew, I had a dream'nightmare' like that once. hopefully no one finds out till im dead. Ill leave instructions on how to get on gbo and sell them all at a discount.
