An obama exec order on guns may spark mass resistance.
« on: January 14, 2013, 09:09:12 AM »
Obama Executive Orders on Guns Would Spark Mass Resistance    As the Obama administration openly vows to use unconstitutional “executive orders” to further infringe on the right to keep and bear arms, gun rights activists, members of the law enforcement community, military personnel and others are pledging to resist. Everything from an armed uprising and nationwide civil disobedience to legal means of resistance like the courts and nullification is being openly discussed online and even in the establishment media.

Sometimes it seems that all the crisis we have seen are little more than pushing to see how much they could get away with.

Every President since Lincoln (or before) have used executive orders, but all of a sudden President Blackenstein is anti-constitutional by doing it.....Lets hear some good ideas on curbing this gun violence an maybe they will leave us law-abiding citizens alone, instead of the 100's doom & gloom postings daily. by the way he gave an "executive order" on his inauguration day to close the prison at Guantanamo, so you see how much weight an executive order has......
12g shortie w/chokes,Tamer .410,12g "Buck" slug gun w/20g extra barrel, 12g smooth bore tracker I, 45/410 w/22vp matched set, 7mm-08, .308 20",

Good ideas ok how about requireing all Americans to arm themselves and pass test on both ablity and lawful use . Also require all to keep a gun with them at all times and resist any attack on them or others near by.

+1

To that may I add, plea bargaining away gun violations be stopped immediately. Rob a liqueur store with a gun, you spend 7 years in jail for the gun the robbery becomes the plea down offense. Soon the crime stats will reflect the reality of the situation, common citizens are confronted by gun crime to a larger degree than anybody cares to admit. Next would be a truth in sentencing law for every jurisdiction.

When all of the convicted dirtbags are warehoused properly we will be better able to assess what if any gun crimes are not currently being addressed properly.

good point
legalize pot so the jails will be aval. for real criminals at the same time. BECAUSE ALOT IF NOT MOST SHOOTINGS ARE RELATED TO ILLEGAL DRUGS AND POT IS STILL 80% OF THE ILLEGAL DRUGS SOLD.

I'm surprized given you past "pro-gun" stance that are you wanting gun registration, and testing from the government, on whether an American citizen can own a firearm, and imposing innocents to involve themselves in other folks business. This would open up a whole can of worms giving the government even more power to "regulate guns", and "gun ownership" and require people to fight, when they were not so inclined, and would allow the government to prosecute individuals that failed to defend others they did not know. Not to mention that they might defend the wrong person, in error. This is the other extreme in socialism requiring folks to buy guns, and be registered with the government as to their abilities with firearms, which later could be used against them. This is like requiring them to buy Obamacare.

I can't believe how nobody in the media has spoke of the number of annual deaths due to drunken drivers.. Those numbers are greater than firearm related deaths and have been so for decades but the government still allows states to tax and benefit from its sale. Cigarettes are another money maker but of course, the bill of rights mentions nothing about alcohol and tobacco. The government knows what the constitution states but they try shaking us up to see if we fold. I hope that California senator pushes hard for a ban so this country will see what power we really have.

Although I guess I'm unaware of the intricacy's of our Constitution so far as who's power trumps who, I'm so very happy to see that local sheriff's have such powers. Our Constitution was written by some incerdibly brilliant guys  8)

After what I've been hearing and reading, this article gave me a sense of relief that the only ones concerned were me and GBO regs. Really glad to remember that there's many many millions of us who care deeply. Thanks for the link Powderman.  J

I live in NY. state, I am getting no relieved feeling. It sounds like all the call , letters and e-mails I have been sending has been falling on deaf ears.  One of my big complaints is the only NRA help I have noticed is a call from NRA telling me what is going on and to call and write people, big help I was already doing all that. Other wise nothing on TV, radio or any were else. They tell their 4 million members, we don't need info it is the other people that they need to reached.  There are NRA people in NY (Albany)trying to influence the vote, I hope. If they fail like they did in the 94 and NY and the Feds. impost more bans and restrictive I am done sending money and belonging to the NRA, I can find a better use for the $1000.00+ I have sent them for the last 4 1/2 years.
