Browning M 92 in .357
« on: January 12, 2013, 11:52:02 AM »
Have an opportunity to buy a shooter grade .357.  It's got some pitting in a few spots and a swivel stud in the stock...not what I'd call a looker, but smooth as glass and a great range gun.

What should I expect to pay for a shooter grade .357 Magnum (BTW...it shoots GREAT!)

Thank you.

vonfatman:  since you are the only one who ahs seen this rifle I would throw you $250 - 400.  I paid more for my Rossi M92 new, and the Browning is indeed a better name but yet the rifle is used.

Today's prices are outrageous but it is used and I would start low and see how he squirms, and then raise him $50 until he stops squirming.

From what I've seen, the browning 92s in 357 are like gold. Most were made in 44mag so there are not that many 357s out there.  ;) it just depends on how knowledgable the owner is. But actually $5-600 would be what it would sell for in the condition you describe.

I looked at a Rossi at the last gun show and it was new, priced over $500.
