Future headlines perhaps?
« on: January 11, 2013, 03:41:16 PM »
Cut-n-paste and pass the message around if you think it's worth while otherwise, let it die:

Future headlines perhaps?:

"Million Man Armed March" crowd descends upon the capital building"

Is it time?  Would you be willing to do it?

Or do we just wait until the next time they want more of our rights?

Perhaps the time after that?

Or maybe the next one after that until there isn't anything left?

Who could arrange this?

Perhaps the NRA?

Some other gun rights organization?.........or just ordinary citizens exercising their right to be heard?

Do you really think they would/could arrest one million armed people marching on the capital of a state or our country?........ regardless of the "statutes" or "laws" against carrying openly in the capital city of whatever state is chosen?

Do you think they MIGHT get the message then?

Or is this too extreme?

Think about it.

Why March?

Because it's part of my rights as an American citizen...........for now.

We are not socialists just yet.

Why else?

1) in SUPPORT of the 2nd amendment.
2) in support for owning "assault weapons" altho I dispute that terminology.
3) in support of high capacity magazines
4) in support of trained, armed guards at schools for those that want it.
5) in support of National concealed carry permits
--------------------------
6) in spite of political correctness
7) in spite of the laws that don't allow us to do such things
8.) in spite of those that would try to circumvent the constitution using executive orders.
9) in order to get the politicians attention and for them stop violating the Constitution

If they want to do away with the 2nd amendment.........then REPEAL IT as prescribed in the Constitution by due process. Which will not happen and they KNOW it. Stop nibbling away at it with nit picky laws that have no effect except to punish the law abiding citizen.

That's some of what I would be marching for.

i hate to sound like a defeatist, because
i truly am not, but there are way too many
apathetic people now in america to do such
a thing. years back i did go to gun rights
rallies and to the booths they used to have
at gun shows, and even then the reaction
was less than mild. at the booth at the gun shows
i was called psycho militia, and survivalist
sociopath, and the like. at the last one i did, a loudmouth
man yelled at us saying we were wasting
everyones time trying to make a paycheck for
the big men at the nra, and that nobody was
ever gonna come get guns and we were just
spreading paranoia. i never went to any more
after that and i think we'll probably reap
what we've sown as a nation. just look
what the nation put back in the main
chair in washington. . . . . .
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I still can't figure out why some folks hate the NRA and Fox news.

where would we be now without them, especially the NRA??

Armed march on the state or national capital??  March yes, armed not. An armed march would prove one thing that a good guy with a gun could stop a bad guy with a gun. And in case you have not figured it out the marchers would be the bad guys, gun carring nuts and many other negative terms they could use it to get rid of as many of you as possible.
I have found when you get large groups of people together there is allway a few loud mouths with no common sense and sound poorly educated that get in front of the camera and makes every one look real bad. A large well organized,PEACEFULL demonstration would serve our cause better in my opinion.  I am hoping some of the anti. at the Saratoga NY gun show get stupid today and show that they are really like.

I am one who has advocated for an armed march, but I think you are absolutely right.  There would be a few who would use the occasion to do something dumb and that is what would be shown to the country via the media.  I'm also quite sure that the opposition wouldn't miss the opportunity to plant screwballs.  Even if the NRA sponsored such an event and was scrupulous about keeping it civilized, there would be renegades and trouble causers, but a super sized group armed with signs still seems like a great idea.

Yup, so far as protests go, GREAT IDEA who's time has come but please let's leave the guns in the safes.  Cardboard signs and tee shirts for now will work wonders. Especially if we number in the multi millions, and we will.  J

A better future headline might be.. " LARGEST PLANNED PEACEFUL PROTEST
In U.S history concludes today with a
Staggering crowd of 7 million gun
                                                                      Owners estimated, larger marches
                                                                       Promised!"
