It is a very nice rifle setting in my closet not being used. I got it on a trade and its more rifle than I use.
I have been thinking of having it rechambered but do not know what is possible.
I have been doing alot of coyote hunting with a 223 and like the round very much.
I have a few questions though.
1)what caliber could I rechamber/barrel for(223/22-250/243)?
2)what would be the rough cost?
3)should I sell/trade it for something instead of reworking the rifle?
any info would be appreciated.

If you are left handed it might be easier to rebarrel for a caliber of your choice rather that finding a left handed action chambered in a caliber you wanted to shoot. The rifle you have is a magnum - the bolt face is too large for any but the belted magnum cartridges - if you change to a standard cartridge you will have to replace the bolt.
Without knowing what you hunt or the kind of shooting that you do it is hard to recommend a cartridge but the least powerful magnum cartridge is the 350 Reminton Magnum. You could download this to shoot pistol bullets or load it with 180 to 250 grain bullets for larger game. The velocities are not much higher than those produced by the 358 Winchester. If you need a smaller bore, then the 257 Weatherby would give you a long range 25 caliber round with only a barrel change.

shoot it a see what it is like. the 7mm is a great calibre. load up some 120 v-max's for the real long shot at a yote and stich up whats left of the hide. or you could rebarrel to 270 wbyor 257wby. i was shooting greased up 110 hornadys at 3700fps in a 270 wby with good accuracy today.

I have shot the rifle.Its not that I dont like it,its a beautiful rifle.I just hate that it sets there roughly 362 days a year.I got a deal I couldnt resist on the 7mag but really didnt need it.I have used it for hunting whitetails but I am more into bow hunting than rifle hunting for deer.Around here when its rifle season it gets crowded.
I was just wondering if it would make a decent project rifle to build a coyote gun out of or if it would be more feasable to sell/trade it for something more suitable.

The problem that I see with making it into a coyote gun is the long action. Most varmint calibers are short action. Just my 2 cents. It should not be hard to sell or trade.
