need a light .38 special load for a marlin 1894c.

whats the lightest cast design that will feed in an 1894c?

Probably something like a 124-5 gn rn slug for the 9mm, loaded long for functional reliability.

Yes, actually, in my Rossi M92 357/38.  I found that 38 wadcutters were tricky to lever in but the round nose 9mm slugs, loaded long, functioned quite alright.  On occasion I would flip one out but usually they cycled just fine.  I also found that if I wanted total reliability I would simply load them into 357 cases over light powder charges.
